Whenever we hear the term Concrete then we must aware about some precautions before using it and 90% of concrete in this world is used for Construction Practices But for making a Job done such as for example Casting of Slab , Their is a Proper Procedure or we can say that we will follow well mannered procedure from the start of casting to the end of casting . So , Following are some steps Involved during Working with Concrete :
1. Batching
Cement , Coarse Aggregates , Fine Aggregates and Water are Taken in Well Proportion before Mixing in Batching Plant.
2. Mixing
All the Concrete Mix Matrix is Well Mixed in the Plant So to Form a Well Homogeneous Mixture.
3. Transportation
It depends on whether we are Preparing Concrete on Site or Off site .If it is not prepared on the site then it is Transported with the Help of Trucks from Batching Plant.
4. Placing
It Depends on the way of placing i.e. whether we are placing concrete with hands (manually) or with the help of Concrete Pump.
5. Compaction
Compaction of Concrete can be done both by using Metal Rods or either by Using Vibrational Machines or in case of Slab we can also perform compaction by providing vibration to whole shuttering.
6. Finishing
After Compaction Finishing is done . With the Help of Hand Manual Planers made up by wood we can perform finishing of concrete at small scale but in case of Large Scale Finishing we will use machine planers or Power Trowels .
7. Curing
This is most important step , without curing it is possible that our structure can fail .So we will provide curing to concrete in accordance with codal provisions on the basis of Type of Cement used .
